Setting — Tucked comfortably behind a relatively recent 680 foot stone breakwater in West Cove (between Noank Peninsula's Morgan Point and Groton Long Point), this large, full-service marina and boatyard is easily accessible from Fishers Island Sound. The views of the surrounding area are rural and uncrowded; the views of the water are mostly of Spicer's well maintained docks and moorings, which fill most of the Cove.

Marina Notes — Spicer family owned and operated for over 60 years . Complimentary launch service: Mon-Fri 10am-7pm Sat & Sun 9am-7pm. *Serviced pump-out $20, self-serve free. Three bath houses with particularly nice, comfortably large heads and showers include thoughtful mirrored make-up counters with plugs! Well-equipped marine store "competes with the catalogs". Wild Bill's Bait & Tackle is onsite, as is the Seahorse Tavern and Restaurant and water taxi to Fisher's Island. Home to a number of charter fishing boats. Ice in 100 lb size available.

Notable — Spicer's provides an excellent base from which to explore the small-town charm of pretty Noank Village. It's about a 0.4 mile stroll to the village green. Many restored early 19thC houses and cottages line the streets, and there are a few shops and services -- a "frozen in the 50s" variety store with a soda fountain, a package & convenience store, post office and a church. It's a short dinghy ride (or a 0.3 mi. walk) to Palmer Cove Park -- there's a beach, a snack bar, and a lovely picnic area with grills, sitting in a grove of trees. Across the street from the park is the well-known Fisherman Restaurant.
