Setting — Set in an appealing spot just northwest of Cocoa's Hubert Humphrey Bridge, this meticulously maintained marina overlooks a wide expanse of the ICW and provides the only transient access to the charming village of Cocoa. Two breakwaters and a wave fence protect yachts from river traffic and weather. The marina has undergone renovation including new dockage (with Ipe surfaces) and a first-class facilities building.

Marina Notes — One of the few facilities on the Space Coast with room for megayachts, the marina offers a 500-ft. face dock, large turning basin, 100-amp. shore power, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Whitely Bay has become a club and dockage rights convey with membership, but transient boaters continue to be welcome and to have access to the shore facilities (except the club house, which is included with monthly and seasonal slips rental only, as of now.)

Notable — The city of Cocoa is building a boardwalk that will meander along the river from the park just south of the bridge past the marina, and into town as far as the public library (with no access to boat slips). Two blocks away lies tiny, historic, utterly delightful Cocoa Village -- a Mecca of fine restaurants, amusing shops and live community theater that harken back to Old Florida in the '20s with some '50s kitsch thrown in. Cocoa's fine library is home to excellent reference and genealogy collections and Internet access. Cocoa Village Welcome center is nearby. Bus shuttles are available to Kennedy Space Center and Orlando attractions, and Orlando International Airport. Live jazz is performed in the village nightly. Street craft and auto shows are scheduled through the year.
